A nice touch of nostalgia this morning, as we came across Bill Eppridge's skateboarding photos he took in New York City during the 1960s Some of the photos here almost suggest that Bill handed boards to unsuspecting visitors to Central Park, but others, like this skinny suit hipster, seem to have a good skill.

Our sister publication/site, SLAP Magazine, just released episode 4 of their highly entertaining "One In A Million" series. The episode is capped by a street onslaught and a trip to the hospital. If you love reality television, we suggest watching the full One In a Million series. It is some of the best online viewing out there... skate, art, and a chance to a pro skater and tour with a proper team. Brilliant.

These skateboards were part of Ari’s new photography show, Abandon Sleep that opened last weekend at Ratio 3 gallery in San Francisco. We have a feeling these are not normally priced skateboards and very limited.

We recently ran across Janie Belcourt's well-designed furniture constructed mostly of reclaimed skateboard decks on the blog \ \ \. Her usage of found materials is appealing and her story sounds like a romantic novel of some sorts . . .

We have seen the reinterpretation of skateboards and skate culture many times, but there is just something about this particular piece that is in the “I Want to Skate” video for Public Domaine: Skateboard Culture at La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris that seems to nail the "I dream of skating concept" very well.
