FFDG is pleased to present San Francisco based artist Mike Giant in his first highly anticipated solo show with the gallery entitled "Confessions of an Old Dirty Skateboarder" featuring a wide assemblage of recent drawings and also a rare opportunity to view Giant's personal collection of skateboards he illustrated the graphics for. Giant has achieved fame as a graffiti artist, illustrator and tattooist.

This past Friday the 13th, bad luck was celebrated at Neck Face’s Simply The Worst opening at New Image Gallery in Los Angeles, Calif. Art collectors, graffiti enthusiasts, and the elite of skateboarding showed up to support Neckface. The respect is mutual, as Neck Face says, "Those are my people, they know who I am and I know who they are. We all come from the gutter."

Our good friends at Power House Productions in Detroit, whom we worked with during our 15th Anniversary fundraiser in 2009-10, is putting on a skateboard art exhibition fundraiser, Good Wood, for the Ride It Sculpture Park that is going in the neighborhood close to where Juxtapoz bought houses in 2009. The online bidding auction began on May 19, and the art show that coincides with the auction begins on May 26 in Detroit.

A beautifully shot skate video, with the title taken from a line in an essay about Peter Pan, Joe Pease has created an alternate reality by focusing on the shadow as opposed to the person skating. After awhile, it becomes like a symphony of shapes and movement. The Nick Cave helps.
