If you grew up in Los Angeles you are likely familiar with the work of Skate One R.I.P. 1969-1993. He was a legendary and influential writer from the CBS crew. This was a very memorable dedication piece painted by Posh in the 90’s on Melrose.

As you may have already known, Haroshi has made an impression on the art world in recent years for his recycled skateboard sculptures. The Japanese artist is set to open a new solo show, Virtual Reality, at Jonathan LeVine Gallery in NYC on Saturday, January 12. The repetition of skating, the craft of perfecting the right trick, comes out in the methodical arrangement of the plywood decks into recognizable characters and shapes.

FFDG is pleased to present San Francisco based artist Mike Giant in his first highly anticipated solo show with the gallery entitled "Confessions of an Old Dirty Skateboarder" featuring a wide assemblage of recent drawings and also a rare opportunity to view Giant's personal collection of skateboards he illustrated the graphics for. Giant has achieved fame as a graffiti artist, illustrator and tattooist.

This past Friday the 13th, bad luck was celebrated at Neck Face’s Simply The Worst opening at New Image Gallery in Los Angeles, Calif. Art collectors, graffiti enthusiasts, and the elite of skateboarding showed up to support Neckface. The respect is mutual, as Neck Face says, "Those are my people, they know who I am and I know who they are. We all come from the gutter."

And, because we are dealing with a Leica, its a bit on the classy side.
