Shark Fin Skull

Tattoo // Monday, October 15, 2012
YES!! What's more epic than having a seriously permanent shark tattoo on your body forever?! How about having one diving through your SKULL?!? By far the best rendition of a shark tattoo I've ever seen (besides that one amputee guy with the shark on his used-to-be arm. Props). Unfortunately I have no idea who this is or who it was inked by, so credit is unknown but gladly given if you do. Enjoy.

The Art of Lora Zombie

Juxtapoz // Monday, September 17, 2012
Lora Zombie is a young self-taught painter from Russia who has amassed a massive following of fans online over the past few years. Now she is breaking into the gallery scene and is branching far outside her native Russia with her unique blend of street art and grunge influence.

Robert Longo's Perfect Gods

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, August 14, 2012
Discovery Channel kicked off this past Sunday night celebrating the start of their 25th year of Shark Week. I was curious how else sharks may have influenced culture beyond Jaws, eating Mythbusters, and of course leaping through the air in super slow motion. I was fortunate enough to come across Robert Longo, an amazing artist focusing on hyperrealism at massive scale.

In Street Art: Nychos Gives Us a Shark

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, October 12, 2011
Although painted last year, we believe this highly animated, sliced shark painted by the Austrian street artist, Nychos was to good not to share. Reminds us of when Damien Hirst exhibited a tiger shark preserved in formaldehyde.

Shark Tattoo Art

Tattoo // Tuesday, July 19, 2011
We showed you the incredible Bottlenose Dolphin tattoo the other day on the site, and this is another interesting take on a tattoo on an amputee. Pretty great use for a great white shark.
