Swoon: Back In San Francisco's Mission District

Last Friday, Juxtapoz went and checked out the new Swoon piece that had been placed at 24th and Hampshire in San Francisco's Mission District. An older, ornate, beautiful Swoon wheatpaste from years ago was unexpectedly removed months back, and after much conversation and speaking with the building owner and Swoon, a new piece has been added to the neighborhood at the same location. Mark Reigelman and Jenny Chapman’s Manifest Destiny! was a temporary cabin placed on the side of a building in the crammed downtown area of San Francisco. The project is a "is both homage to the romantic spirit of the Western Myth and a commentary on the arrogance of Westward expansion."
