Sam Taylor's artwork is not for the polite of heart. Drawing from the lumpy, brash aesthetic of cartoons like The Simpsons and Ren and Stimpy, Taylor presents critical and often tongue-in-cheek subject matter in a deceptively childish style. Fittingly, Taylor often illustrates for Vice and mastheads art collectives like Simpsons Drawing Club. Taylor was born in Leicester, studied in Camberwell and lives in London currently.

Directed by Sam Taylor and Bjorn Aschim for the London-based animation collective "The Line," this haunting and somber short animation possesses a narrative simplicity that is almost hypnotizing in its mysterious ambiance. The quality of the short's storytelling and visual artistry is all the more impressive considering that "Everything I Can See From Here" was created with no budget over the course of two years during the filmmakers' evenings, weekends, and days off.
