We have been working with a few Andy Warhol projects over the past month, and we were happy to see this go up on Paddle8's auction site today: The Andy Warhol Foundation is proud to present this auction which includes original artwork inspired by Warhol’s work created by ten renowned artists (all artists who have been in Juxtapoz over the past year or two as well). Proceeds will benefit NURTUREart, a non-profit institute dedicated to nurturing new contemporary art by providing exhibition opportunities and resources for emerging artists, curators and public school students.

Sam Friedman is blowing up like a supernova. Working within a system of his own design, he’s been on a steady streak of creating images that have an astronomical impact on the eye. Colors pop and landscapes dance as his paint moves around the canvas spontaneously. He works intuitively, but there is a layer of control, an effortlessness that can only result from a balance of flow and restraint.

To officially kick off the new year, we are proud to announce the February 2015 issue with cover artist Sage Vaughn. The Los Angeles-based Vaughn has long been a friend of the magazine, and with his upcoming exhibition at Judith Charles in NYC coming up this Spring, it was time to sit down and talk to artist about the new transformations in his work. That's right, we are taking a walk into the Garden.
