As we gear up for the Square Enix Deus Ex: Human Revolution contemporary art show this week, we bring you two unreleased images from the show: original works by N8 Van Dyke (after the jump) and Jorge Alderete (above)  inspired by the futuristic storyline of DE: HR, which hits shelves for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation video game and entertainment systems on August 23.

Mad Magazine is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, and had a couple special exhibits at Comic Con 2011 to celebrate. One of the exhibits was a group of artist renditions of their infamous Spy Vs. Spy characters. Sam Flores, Sket One, and Abe Lincoln Jr. are just a few of the 30 different artists that they enlisted to work on the project.

Today, we can finally share details around an upcoming art project that we’ve been working on with Square Enix, for the launch of the next iteration in their popular DEUS EX video game franchise, DEUS EX: Human Revolution. We’ve partnered with Square Enix’s creative team to select nine contemporary artists, from across the country, to create original woks based on the DEUS EX: Human Revolution storyline.

Sam Flores (Juxtapoz cover #95) could be described as a cheeky monkey, but you’ll be hard pressed to find someone that doesn’t enjoy his artwork. The massively popular San Francisco-based artist Sam Flores is known worldwide for his colorful mixed media paintings, as well as his colorful character.
