With the same anticipation as last year when Juxtapoz curated the art for the annual Outside Lands Music and Art Festival in San Francisco, we are looking forward to the pack of kids who drive up from Arizona to see Metallica headline, wondering why it’s 49 degrees and foggy in August in California. For the 5th annual festival Juxtapoz is back at art curation duties, braving the schizophrenic weather with a wide assortment of live painting, murals, installations, and interactive art from some of our favorite international artists.

We just got back from Day 1 of Outside Lands Music Festival, where we have curated the art portion of this year's event, and have a few pictures from the evening. Skinner, Sam Flores, and N8 Van Dyke were painting all evening, Nick Kuszyk's tunnel pieces were great, Jeremy Fish's banners were huge, and Big Boi's DJ went to the wrong stage.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Art Show Opens this Week in NYC

Comic Con 2011: Mad Magazine Celebrates 50 Years of Spy vs Spy

Mad Magazine is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, and had a couple special exhibits at Comic Con 2011 to celebrate. One of the exhibits was a group of artist renditions of their infamous Spy Vs. Spy characters. Sam Flores, Sket One, and Abe Lincoln Jr. are just a few of the 30 different artists that they enlisted to work on the project.
