Saddo is a Romanian illustrator and muralist. Blending stylized forms with media ranging from wood panels to oil paint, Saddo creates allegorical and spiritually charged imagery with a folk art aesthetic. Saddo's illustrations--inspired by horror and sci-fi imagery from his childhood--combine a number of influences, from the Flemish masters to street art, into alluring compositions.

Saddo uses mysticism and sophisticated linework to conceptualize his ideas into a stunning peice of artwork. His unsual floating-in-space characters are beautiful in a very odd way, and create a distinct juxtoposition with the brilliant, splattered colors and tones that are used in his backgrounds.

In 2 and half days, Other and Saddo completed this large-scale mural in Dresden, Germany. Plenty of great detail to get lost in and one of the biggest murals we have seen these artists work on. Traveling back to the U.S., Other will be showing new work will fellow artist Stinkfish at Brooklynite Gallery in Brooklyn on November 5th.
