Saber from The Seventh Letter (Juxtapoz #78) crew recently took a trip down to Querétaro, Mexico for the event Estilo Libre. One of the most prolific writers today, Saber obviously went down to paint and he definitely left a mark on the Mexican landscape. “I spent four days straight painting two different pieces in two different locations,” he writes. “I decided to use buff paint primarily, instead of all spray to show people to some new techniques.” Read what else Saber has to say and more photos from Mexico right here…

And if you couldn’t make it to Boston, well…now you know it was dope and you missed it. To prove it, peep some event photos we snagged here…

Hey, all you David Choe fans out there- have you snagged tickets to the premiere of Harry Kim’s new documentary Dirty Hands: The Art & Crimes of David Choe yet? Kim filmed the artist's “life and crimes” from 2000 to 2007, a period coinciding with Choe's rise to fame and fortune in the art world as he matured from a street artist bombing underpasses and illustrating porn magazines to a respected muralist, painter, and graphic novelist. Trust us, shit gets intense. If you’re lucky enough to be in the Los Angeles area this weekend, you better hurry up and get your tickets to the world premiere of Dirty Hands on Saturday, June 21st at the Majestic Crest, as part of the LA Film Festival. There are only three showings going down at the festival, so if you want to be the one telling people how dope Dirty Hands is rather than hearing about from everyone else, hit up lafilmfest.com to get tickets now. See the trailor and get more info at dirtyhandsmovie.com

Harry Kim’s highly anticipated documentary on street art’s favorite badass, David Choe, finally debuts Saturday, June 21st as part of the Los Angeles Film Fest at Majestic Crest Theatre. Dirty Hands: The Art & Crimes of David Choe chronicles the life of this renegade artist’s triumphs, struggles, and self-described “bullshit life.” Los Angeles artist David Choe's kaleidoscopic work can be playful, confrontational and sexually frank. His personal life is no less complicated, as revealed by close friend Harry Kim, who documented Choe's life and crimes from 2000 to 2007. From the manic highs of commercial success and dinosaur hunting in the Congo to the self-destructive lows of Japanese jail sentences and bouts of self-doubt and depression, what begins as a gleeful portrait of a bad-boy artist slowly becomes a poignant celebration of one man's journey, both artistically and spiritually, toward his own uncertain salvation. Note: If the above video gives you a lovely "This video is no longer available" message, YouTube is lying. Just refresh and click on the bottom play button, or go here. Purchase tickets to the world premiere of Dirty Hands: The Art & Crimes of David Choe at www.lafilmfest.com.
