Curated Mag and Jacob Breinholt stopped by the opening of Saber's The American Graffiti Artist at Opera Gallery in NYC. The show featured the now becoming signature American flag treatments that Los Angeles-based Saber has been developing over the past few years.

April 2011 marks a special issue for Juxtapoz Magazine, as we were asked by the MOCA to create a companion issue to the first major instituitional retrospective of street art, Art In the Streets. As we documented street art to a wider-audience of fine art, tattoo, pop-surreal, and illustrative art enthusiasts over our 17 years, we wanted to create an extended dialog and history with graffiti and street art pioneers. Two of Los Angeles' bigger names in contemporary art, Shepard Fairey and Saber, teamed up this past week with"Pride of America" for this mural on the side of De La Barracuda on Melrose. A nice one to go check out if you happen to be attending Fairfax High School, or like seeing murals by Shepard and Saber.

Had to make an emergency trip down to Los Angeles this past week, a quick one to get our cover story wrapped up for the September issue. Near my hotel was this, the wall that has been photographed and documented by everyone and their mother by now, but... I did some weird color thing on accident to the Revok piece, so you have to look at the bigger pictures to see his piece. And his piece was damn good, but I don't want to post some blurred out shot.
