About Upper Playground Based in San Francisco, Upper Playground (http://www.upperplayground.com) was founded in 1998 to fill the fashion void between culture-based brands of clothing. At the time, clothing brands targeted toward one particular cultural group, such as skaters, surfers, or musicians, had no overlapping characteristics. Upper Playground was founded with the belief that numerous social influences, such as art, music, skateboarding, basketball, and street life, could be combined in one brand of clothing that celebrates contemporary urban lifestyle without excluding anyone. Today, Upper Playground is recognized as a catalyst for the fusion of fashion with art from some of the finest local and international artists and graphic designers. About Juxtapoz Juxtapoz Art & Culture Magazine focuses on underground artists and cutting-edge art movements. It was designed as a magazine for the new art movement with a goal to bridge the gap between art and culture. Juxtapoz showcases today's most interesting and influential artists.

SABER's "Mad Society"

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, August 14, 2007
One of LA's all time kings of graffiti, the prolific SABER, has a new book titled Mad Society coming out soon. The tome, a photo-biography of sorts, is 168 pages of madness, brandishing more than 250 images from the life and art of this graf giant. It's only $30 so no problem affording it, plus it's shelf-friendly in size. It ships on August 21, and all pre-order copies are signed by SABER. You really can't ask for more than that. Well, you can, but then we'd all know what a greedy bastard you are. This is an imperative acquisition that no proper art book collection is complete without. www.saberone.com {moscomment}

This guy has been getting busy. He's currently getting ready for his first solo show at White Walls this July in San Francisco. We're all really excited about his work and what he is preparing for his show. You know he is coming correct and big."
