StolenSpace is pleased to present the street artist Rone from Melbourne, Australia in his first UK solo exhibition entitled 'Wallflower' Finding the friction point between beauty and decay is a thread that runs through much of Rone's work. As a street artist best known for his stylised images of women's faces, he understands better than most that beauty can be fleeting.

Last month, Rone pulled of this awesome mural on the side of a residential building, working around the windows and balconies, and conveniently next to a train line for commuters to see daily. Located in Berlin, the wall was curated by the Strychinin Gallery in part of Project “M.” The Melbourne-based artist painted three images of a women in his photo-realistic style.

During Art Basel in Miami, one of the several walls Australian artists, Reka and Rone, painted was this monochrome collaboration that primarily focused on eyes. Reka painted in his character in a highly animated style, while Rone dropped a hyperrealist piece. Side by side these two styles couldn’t be more different, but work together so well.
