Ron English has really stepped it up a notch. Up real high. “This morning I did some graffiti in the skies of lower Manhattan,” the artist writes on his Juxtapoz blog. “Walls are looking pretty full these days. I wanted it to be a mildly conceptual piece, where the word CLOUD would dissipate into... a cloud.” Watch a video of the action now. Read More...

Prolific artist Ron English recently stopped for a quick chat the day before the opening of his London show at Elms Lester Painting Rooms (check out the sneak preview below). Provocative and insightful, his work scythes to the heart of the matter as sharply as his execution of the paintings. Enjoy this short flick by Art & Design Films and then learn more on Ron English at www.popaganda.com

Art stars Ron English, Jason Maloney and Bigfoot beautifully bombed Jersey City this past week, representing the first stage in the Jersey City mural project. Even the mayor, Jerramiah Healy, came out for a photo op! Photographer Beau Roulette of Hurley was on hand to document the entire process. Be sure to be on the lookout for a full length video coming soon, but in the meantime peep some dope photos of the whole mural extravaganza here…

On the eve of the San Francisco premiere of Abraham Obama, the new documentary film from JetSet Graffiti, Jeremy Hatch pulled legendary street, studio, and ‘popaganda’ artist Ron English aside to speak with him about the origins of his now iconographic image of Barack Obama and Abraham Lincoln fused together, forming one stunning (and slightly trippy) picture. Hear English’s thoughts on Obama, Shepard Fairey’s HOPE image and AP scandal, his experiences plastering his Abraham Obama all over the country, getting sued, and why he was reported as having been in a gun shop with David Choe at the DNC. Read it all in an interview by Jeremy Hatch with Ron English.
