At our good friend Alex Pardee and the Zerofriends space in Oakland, California, Ricky Watts just opened a new solo show, Destination Unknown. You might remember Mr Watts' work, as it was presented prominently on the stages of the Outside Lands Music and Art Festival in the summer of 2012 in San Francisco.

A few months ago, Ricky Watts' art wowed attendees at San Francisco's Outside Lands Music Festival as one of his most iconic illustrations dangled royally from the 40 foot tall main stage, but the northern California-based illustrator has been consistently sharpening his technical art skills for years...

As you know by now and from our Instagram, Juxtapoz is curating the art and spending the weekend at Outside Lands in San Francisco, and despite the freezing temps (glad we brought our hoodies to sell at the booth), we caught up with Dabs Myla, Mike Shine, Sam Flores, Guy Overfelt, Ricky Watts, and all sorts of Jux fans who stopped by our booth.

Ricky Watts' first solo show, Down the Rabbit Hole, opens tonight at Budda Palm Gallery, featuring new works by the Bay Area artist that include paintings done entirely with spray paint and is a continuation of Watts’ experiments with shape and color in abstract forms. The exhibition opens tonight, November 5.
