Richard Prince’s controversial appropriated Instagram selfie photos have made their way to the Gagosian Gallery in London and are currently on display. This exhbition will be closing on August 1, 2015, giving you a couple more days to go check it out.

There are almost countless texts, books, and exhibition catalogues about Richard Prince (born 1949), as well as texts he himself has authored not only for his own publications but also those of other artists. Gaining any overview of his exhibition activities proves likewise a challenge, and he was already at the beginning of his career being given solo shows in important international museums. He is known, not least, for the astronomical prices his works command on the art market.

In this collection of found pornographic black and white photographs, artist Richard Prince meticulously selects and places DVD and CD stickers onto graphic erotic images, covering the explicit sexual content with suggestive titles that give the images a fresh and previously absent depth of narrative. Prince's "rephotographs" are evocative in their new contextual environment, implying histories of exploitation, violence, personal tragedies, and individual characteristics absent in their original framework as objectified images for the pure sexual pleasure of their viewership.

Cult-followed and fashion staple Supreme has been in the news quite a bit in the past week, first with a huge spread in the NY Times, and now they will have a skate deck retrospective exhibition at the 032c Workshop in Berlin opening Saturday, December 1. The deck collaboration series for Supreme has seen some of the biggest names in contemporary art stop in for a few deck designs: Damien Hirst, George Condo, Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince, KAWS, Marilyn Minter, and Futura, to name a few.

Space 15 Twenty in Hollywood/Los Angeles has been sporting some nice pop-up shops recently (Input: Output being one great shop). Currently through August 28th, an unprecedented group of well known and underground artists from the New York area will be selling their works at a pop store called Arts & Leisure.
