A vacant, rat infested, Santa Monica located house was recently purchased a by successful builder and fourth generation Santa Monica resident, Adam Corlin.  Before completely renovating the property, Corlin decided to raise awareness for his favorite charity, Heal the Bay, the environmental group working to restore Santa Monica Bay.  He contacted local Los Angeles artists Risk and Retna to Working under tarps to not attract attention, a series of 142 4-foot by 4-foot panels were constructed, painted and later mounted the building exterior.

RETNA "Fuel" Print Release

On August 12, 2011, September 2010 cover artist, Retna, will release a new limited print, Fuel. The print is printed on a 40-inch, 6-color sheet fed Lithographic press, with a 20? x 20? trim size, on 140# Speckletone Cover Stock “Starch White.” That is print talk. It is also being made in an edition of 60, signed and numbered.

Retna Hallelujah Tour in London

Our London correspondent, Butterfly, made it out to RETNA's Hallelujah Tour stop at the The Old Dairy in the British capital. She noted that artists, rock royalty, fashion designers, and models were in attendance, with the exhibition featuring 30 new works in RETNA's signature script.

We just got this email from our friend and Mexico City based artist, Saner, who along with Retna and Nunca and How & Nosm, will be part of The Boneyard Project coming in the Summer of 2011. As the trailer states, "The Boneyard Project is not simply a unique opportunity to give major contemporary artists an amazing canvas of being able to make art out of a plane, it is a chance for us all to examine our own cultural relationship to airplanes and to the archetypal ideal of traveling through the skies."
