This past week Semi-Permanent and Carriageworks opened a Stanley Donwood retrospective exhibition, The Panic Office. The exhibition displays thousands of pieces of artwork from the Radiohead albums OK Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows and The King of Limbs, some unseen and all bearing Donwood’s evocative and haunting imagery that helped to create one of the world’s most distinct brands.

Music Video: Thom Yorke "A Brain In A Bottle"

Music // Wednesday, October 01, 2014
We don't think Thom Yorke likes doing pre-press to announce his albums. Sure, he likes the BitTorrent route he went with his new LP, "Tomorrow's Modern Boxes," and he likes the idea of getting rid of middle men and giving artists the chance to make their own money from their art and craft, but I'm convinced he wants to avoid talking to music journalists every few years to talk shop. So we get an unexpected album, and we get a glitchy video of Thom with boxing gloves for the opening track "A Brain In A Bottle," and all is good.

Stanley Donwood... On Trees

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, September 18, 2013
Yesterday, we showed you a preview of Stanley Donwood's new show, Far Away is Close at Hand in Images of Elsewhere, opening that London's The Outsiders gallery on September 20, 2013. When we were looking at the new work, we started seeing a theme... a theme that has entered Donwood's work with Radiohead and the King Of Limbs LP: trees! Lots of lonely, ghostly, reaching, bare trees. So we asked Mr Donwood... what's up with the trees?

Radiohead’s in-house artist Stanley Donwood returns to The Outsiders London with a haunting and hugely appealing exhibition of artworks in September 2013. Far Away is Close at Hand in Images of Elsewhere showcases Stanley’s ambitious ink and pencil pieces featuring hidden country footpaths, Known as Holloways, and other arboreal scenes. These are featured in Stanley’s hit book of the same name, published by Faber and Faber earlier this year.

Stanley Donwood x Radiohead “The King of Limbs” Newspaper Album Packaging

Music // Friday, April 29, 2011
There was a big buzz a few months back when Oxford, England supergroup Radiohead announced their 8th LP, The King of Limbs. The music portion was exciting, but for we art and design nerds, it was the Stanley Donwood and Radiohead special "Newspaper Album" packaging that was slated for release June 1, 2011.
