Over the past year, Juxtapoz and Converse have teamed on a unique project, Wall to Wall, where we invite an artist in a city in North America to create a semi-permanent mural based around the artist's interpretation of the iconic Converse star. Today, we look back on the mural created in Huntington Beach, California by artist PUSH. As you may have seen in Los Angeles recently, PUSH has had standout works at Known Gallery, and we featured the artist in our Seventh Letter issue in July 2007.

Steel, Push, Reyes, and Zes were recently in Shakopee, MN to do live painting at the Soundset 2012 Festival.    The show features mainly hip-hop musicians like locals Atmosphere to Ghostface Killer and Raekwon.

Opening on Saturday at Known Gallery in Los Angeles, Assorted Flavor, is a group show featuring the work of Jason Jagel, Patrick Martinez, Greg Lamarche, Saber, Push, Augustine Kofie, and Kevin Ancell.  Nice lineup of artists, sure to please your eyes.

Known Gallery will be opening a group show on Saturday, June 18, called Assorted Flavor, featuring works from Jason Jagel, Patrick Martinez, Greg Lamarche, Saber, Push, Augustine Kofie, and Kevin Ancell. All have been featured in the magazine before, so we are looking forward to this one.

We have been following the progress of LEE's mural at MOCA's Art In the Streets all weekend, and yesterday evening finally took a few shots of the beautiful progress that he has been in making. LEE, our April 2011 subscriber cover artist and featured in the magazine, has been painting the large facade outside of the Geffen with PUSH and RISK, at least when we took these pictures.
