“The people feed communism to the beast” is the title of this collaborative mural between street artists, Roa and Ever, painted in the neighborhood of Palermo Viejo in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This striking piece shows the head of Chairman Mao (Ever) being offered to a sea elephant (Roa). An unusual combination of images from two artists with different esthetics, but manages to work well in this particular context.

Brendan Davis: The Hidden Treasures Series

An amazing installation series where Brendan Davis took mirroed monolith sculptures, put them in nature, and let the pieces reflect their surrounding that resulted in a surreal, almost mythical experience. Each mirrored "menhir" stood at 6.5 feet tall, which would tower over most people. The works were completed in 2010.

The bizarre and hyper realistic murals of Martin Ron demand attention and evoke curiosity. His newest addition to the streets of Buenos Aires, Argentina is a strange one. After a week in London, Sheffield-based illustrator and muralist, Phlegm, has completed multiple pieces around town, with two walls having included his newer hybrid animal character. One of the walls, the four-panel outdoor canvas of the Village Underground, (Also hosting the Work of Steve Powers above) was painted with a simplistic character piece appearing to come out of the panels.
