Humpty Dumpty Comes to Life!

Most of you should be familiar with the classic fairy tale story of the anthropomorphic egg Humpty Dumpty, his inevitable fall and the attempt by some knights to piece him back together. In part of the Uk’s biggest Easter egg hunt, the friendly-looking Humpty Dumpty was brought to life as a 4-foot chocolate hanging out on a wall at the Covent Garden in Central London. True to folklore, Mr. Humpty went down off the wall, smashing to pieces and cannot be put back together.

Last year, we went to the Tucson desert and shared what was happening with some disused Military airplanes and a number of international artists, it was certainly something we had never witnessed before. The Boneyard Project is an ambitious project conceived by Eric Firestone with the help of Carlo Mccormick and is still enlisting artists to paint aviation corpses. Kenny Sharf who is our cover story artist for our May 2012 printed issue was the most recent artist up to bat and this video shows some of the process behind his experience with these unusual canvases.

Phlegm was invited by Millennium Gallery in his hometown of Sheffield to paint the balcony windows of their building. A video was mad documenting the creation of the illustration that was used as a blueprint for the window paintings.

The bizarre billboard is the work of artist, Brion Nuda Rosch, whose all meat themed exhibition appropriately titled “Meat Form” is presently showing at The Peanut Gallery.
