Local up and coming Bay Area artist, Zio Zeigler, painted a monstrous monochromatic character on a rather difficult to paint textured facade a few months back. The young artist’s mural is packed filled with detail, drawing influence from primitive paintings and sculptures. If you want to see this piece in person it can be seen on Mission Street, between 7th and 8th in San Francisco.

Remed used his own developed typography combined with bright colors for this new mural in Mexico City. The letters resemble ancient hieroglyphics with a modern twist to them. Painted entirely with spray paint.

During Art Basel one of the most talked about events and certainly one of our favorites was the Deluxx Fluxx arcade by Faile and Bast.  For this special pop-up event, these three artists re-programmed vintage arcade games and pinball machines into sculptural works of art, as well as created an  entire black light room with glowing posters and football tables to play. If you didn’t get a chance to see it in person, this video will give you some perspective on how the space was constructed and the ideas behind the installation.
