Is that an Iron Maiden shirt Nychos is wearing there?  We can see how his work is influenced by Derek Riggs who created all the epic covers for the English heavy metal band.  This new skull-splitting piece is on a roof in Brooklyn and will surely take someone off guard, if not give them nightmares.

The Shadow by Brigitte Zieger

Brigitte Zieger’s created this fantastic outdoor installation for the Les Environnementales Biennial of Contemporary Art at Tecomah, an environmental studies school outside of Paris. She created The Shadow, the impression of an aeroplane flying overhead... only in her work, the shadow is permanent.

Peter Burke's Mold Sculptures

London born multi-disciplinary artist, Peter Burke, was trained as a jig and tool designer with Rolls Royce before becoming a full time artist. Burke uses his engineering skills to create his figurative sculptures from man-made materials. The moldings designs are to be industrially produced and repeated to reflect the use of industrial production methods.  His work has been exhibited internationally since 1973 and is included in many private collections.

Bruce Munro's Illuminated Landscapes

Best viewed at night, installation artist, Bruce Munro, has created a radiant and colorful installation at Longwood Gardens in Philadelphia open to the public. Using 20,000 Illuminated stems, numerous CDs made to resemble water lilies, and a large amount of LEDs along a hillside, the 23 acres of land is worth exploring. The Garden hosts a range of activities through the summer including music events, craft nights, and contests.

M-City Paints Józef Mehoffer’s House

M-City was recently in Krakow, Poland for the ArtBooom Festival where he painted a mural on the side of famed Polish artist, Józef Mehoffer’s house, which now serves as a museum. The interior of the building houses antique furniture, chandeliers, wall hangings, clocks, books, and other works of art, including numerous works by the artist including stained-glass items, oils, decorative portraits, drawings, and many other items.

New Murals from AEC of Interesni Kazki in Cholula, Mexico

AEC who makes up half of the Ukrainian mural duo, Interesni Kazki, painted multiple murals while visiting Cholula, Mexico. The artist also teamed up with Mexico City-based muralist, Saner, for a joint collaboration.  These particular pieces look that much better and add a lot of life to the old dilapidated walls.

SF Bay Bridge To Get LED'd?

Artist Leo Villareal wants to light up the Bay Bridge and we hope this becomes a reality. He has proposed ad LED light installation consisting of 25,000 white LEDs, spaced a foot apart for the west span of the bridge. The lights will have the function of changing, making abstract patterns based loosely on water, traffic, and weather patterns.
