This month, Somerset House opens up again for another summer of Film4 Summer Screen Shows. They are collaborating with Print Club London for another extensive exhibition of screen-printed posters to celebrate the 10-year anniversary. Artists such as Hattie Stewart, Kate Moross and HelloVon were asked to pick up one of the films, and the result present a wonderful variation in style and emotion.

Gagosian Gallery on Madison Avenue is spending the month of May 2014 (and beyond) with three separate exhibitions and projects with Ed Ruscha in New York, including his participation in Frieze New York two weeks ago, along with an exhibition of a series of recent paintings, "Prints and Photographs." And on May 6, Gagosian and Ruscha unveielve a mural adjacent to the High Line on West 22nd Street and 10th Avenue.

Swoon just released a new print! Nee Nee in Braddock is an 8 color silk screen print on hand made paper. It is an adaptation of one of Swoon’s intricately carved linoleum block prints, depicting the streets and homes of Braddock, PA, a town where Swoon has been engaged in community based work since 2007...

Back in 2012, we featured artist Cathie Bleck in our August issue showing her paintings of fantastical worlds. Now we see her on a much smaller scale with beautiful simplistic intentions for a timeless art space. USPS commissioned her to create an image for a stamped card in celebration of the start of Spring. Fittingly, Bleck created a soft lively looking tree since she has always felt a connection to them from her childhood.

When it comes to exhibiting fine art editions, NYC's Pace Prints has been the pantheon for some of the most important artists of the day, ushering the careers of a wave of up-and-coming museum staples, such as George Condo, Julian Schnabel, Shepard Fairey, Chuck Close, Ryan McGinness, Ghada Amer, Erik Parker, and Ed Ruscha. One of our favorite purchases from the weekend at the LA Art Book Fair was a copy of Picture Box Inc's (in conjunction with ForYourArt) wonderful book, "In the Good Name of the Company: Artworks and ephemera produced by or in tandem with the Colby Printing Company." Ben Eine, who is famed for traveling the world with his signature style of block letter street art proclamations and is in the personal collection of the White House, will open a new solo show, "Heartfelt," at Judith Charles Gallery in NYC this week, February 5, 2014. The British artist will also be presenting a series of limited edition prints to coincide with the new series of paintings.
