Yes2, one of the subjects in our Tuff City Styles feature in our 2008 NYC Graffiti Issue, has a bunch of new works at Dirty Pilot right now. Pilot writes that Yes2 started painting in the streets in 1986, and has hit Holland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Canada throughout his career into the late 1990s. Morgan Slade—COMPANY KILLERS at Shooting Gallery this Saturday

Los Angeles-based artist Morgan Slade will be showing at Shooting Gallery in San Francisco starting this Saturday, January 8th with a nicely titled Company Killers. The show will featuere 10-12 mixed-media pieces around the themes of consumerism in relation to "communication and to our identification of the self or the group." Taka Sudo at CAVE Gallery opens January 14

C.A.V.E. Gallery in Venice, California is hosting Taka Sudo's debut California show “Paradox Shifts”. The Vancouver-based artist has an interesting dynamic in that he comes from the bustling, overcrowded cities of Japan, but has since moved to an urban center in Vancouver that is surrounded by some of the most amazing natural beauty in the world. We will be publishing an exclusive interview with Alex Pardee on the occasion of his major solo show, Vertigo, at Corey Helford Gallery in the coming days, but we wanted to also show a few images that Alex sent us this past weekend. As Alex says, "I'm going a little crazy but the craziness is overshadowed by excitement for a number of reasons. This show marks my first time showing acrylic painting." Just your friendly neighborhood reminder that two great shows are going on tonight on opposite ends of the coast: Tiffany Bozic's Confiding To Strangers at NYC's Joshua Liner Gallery (which has probably started by now, so get moving), and Ericailcane's We Were Living In the Woods at San Francsico's FIFTY24SF Gallery.
