Tonight, January 13, 2012, FIFTY24SF Gallery and American Zoetrope teamed up to present an installation in conjunction with Francis Ford Coppola's newest feature film TWIXT. The exhibiton, Twixt sc. 83, sees the art director and art department of the film remake entire sets from the film inside the San Francisco gallery. Preview sneaks after the jump . . .

Exhibit A Gallery's Obey Your Master: A Tribute to Metallica opens a week from today in Los Angeles—and we have your exclusive look inside what's to be expected from this group of A listers. On view here are a preview of the original works created for the show by Shepard Fairey, Nicola Verlato, Brian M Viveros, Gail Potocki, Patrick Fogarty, followed by what the band and their music mean to each artist.

Juxtapoz contributing editor Caleb Neelon will be opening a new body of work, Victory Garden, at Endicott College's Heftler Gallery in Beverly, Massachusetts opening on January 20. As well as showing a group of new paintings, Neelon will be creating a large wall painting/installation on-site in the Center for the Arts atrium over the course of a residency that concludes March 6th.

As we noted earlier this week, NYC-based David Ellis (cover artist from March 2007, plus a major contributor to our Barnstormers issue in December 2009) opens a new exhibition, True Value, at Joshua Liner Gallery in NYC tonight, December 15. The exhibition will feature new motion paintings as well as new paintings on panel and tobacco-stained paper.

Sage Vaughn, who has had a busy 2011 with two show in London with Lazarides Gallery and The Outsiders, will be exhibiting new works in Runaways, a solo show at San Francisco's FIFTY24SF Gallery starting this Saturday, November 19. We just received some previews from Mr. Vaughn, including some of his signature envelope pieces.

We checked in with Kofie a few weeks ago after he completed a new mural with El Mac in LA, and now we have a preview of his newest solo show at White Walls in San Francisco. Circulatory System will include 30 new works in Kofie's now trademark architectural drafting style. The exhibition opens November 12, 2011. Preview after the jump . . .

João Ruas has been on our radar for quite some time, and we have been looking forward to what the São Paulo artist would create for his solo show, Yore, at Thinkspace Gallery. Continuing on the theme of making art that appears unearthed in an abandoned home, these initial previews of Yore looks to be his best yet.

Chicago-based artists Pose and KC Ortiz, both featured in our September 2010 issue, will be opening up Whitewash at Los Angeles' Known Gallery on November 19. With Pose's contributions to the show being based on a time before "the buff," he just sent us a video preview of what he has in store for the Known Gallery exhibition.

As we mentioned yesterday on the site, Juxtapoz is very happy to have Skinner part of our curation at the San Francisco music and art festival, Outside Lands.
