This past weekend we stopped by Known Gallery for “Hello Kitty, Hello Art” a one-day pop-up event. The gallery was filled with a new collection of Sanrio-inspired art featuring over 30 new paintings by graffiti artist POSE, custom chandeliers by Adam Wallacavage, a neon installation by RISK and new works by 64 Colors, AIKO, Caia Koopman, DABS MYLA, Kenton Parker, Niagara, Shepard Fairey and Simone Legno — all incorporating a rainbow of Sanrio characters.

Whoever owns this building in Chicago chose a quality cast of artists informally trained in the art of decorating exteriors. The buildings first paint additions started with the Skewville roller and the Roa characters. Now, the building has been officially pimped and covered with additional work from Reyes, Pose, Omens, and Amuse.

Three of graffiti's top artists—Pose, Vizie, and Steel—of the LRG Artist Driven team embarked on an Asian tour in search of inspiration with their eyes and minds wide open. LRG filmed their trip for two-part mini-documentaries by KC Ortiz and Dylan Maddux.

The Motor City is currently playing host to a large amount of international graffiti writers in town to add color to several walls.  Ces, Revok, Steel, Nekst Reyes, Sever, Knows, Pose, Zes, Yes 2, Askew, Smash, Risk, Omens, Klor and Shank have all been busy fuming up the post-apocalyptic city.  Sleezy McCheezy was on the scene and got the following pics.

Painting at the Rva Street Art Festival in Richmond, Va, Pose, Vizie, and Dalek collaborated on the following wall.  We really enjoy Pose’s paper collage, comic style look with this particular piece.
