Photographer Brandon Fernandez has captured some seriously striking nude portraits. This new body of work was shot entirely using the wet plate collodion process making the photos both intense and nostalgic. Brandon earned his MFA at Mills College and is currently based in Portland.

New Print Release: Josh Keyes "Sirens"

Februrary 2010 cover artist, Josh Keyes, always garners attention when releasing a new body of work or print, and on Monday, July 16th at 11AM PST, Keyes will release his new print, Sirens. The print will be signed and numbered in an edition of 150 on archival Giclee on Optima One 100% cotton paper (300 gsm weight, sized at 18"x24" with deckled edges. What we like in particular is Keyes' posting process pics for the image on his blog this past week.

Portland police have blamed the local establishment, Railyard Gallery for inviting and contributing to illegal graffiti around town. The pressure from local law enforcement has resulted in the Railyard Gallery being evicted from their location. The city of Portland has been bulking up graffiti abatement in recent years and have recently passed a new ordinance making it illegal to carry graffiti implements such as spray cans and markers used by people who “tag” public or private property.  Police boredom?
