Moses Hacmon Photographs Water in Motion

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, August 21, 2013
Israeli artist Moses Hacmon has found a way to capture water in motion through an analog photographic technique using a fluid film made out of nanoparticles that retains a liquid layer of iron. This registers the water's movement first and then allows it to be imprinted on any surface in any shape. The resulting photographic negative is then transformed into a positive image. The process is the result of eleven years of studying and investigating the physical characteristics of the flow of water. Watch a video after the jump...

Erotica // Monday, August 19, 2013
With the languid days of summer quickly drawing to a close, we thought this photoshoot by Willy Vanderperre would be a fitting ode to summer's last breath. Taken in 2010 for i-D Magazine, the photo spread features the always stunning Miranda Kerr, dressed in girlish school gear yet seemingly reluctant to abandon her summer routine, as if caught in a dreamy haze, unwilling to let the season fade into frost and fallen leaves.

Mirrors of man's contradictions, of a world to which she belongs and yet remains distant. The Amazon bears forth over-stimulated cities pervaded by a savage force, which exist simultaneously as survival mechanisms...
