Phlegm recently painted a new wall in East London and appears to be work on a new postcard-sized book of hand-colored etchings, each drawn in miniature under a magnifying class on a copper plate only 11cm wide!

Phlegm recently completed this mural for the Empty Walls Festival in Cardiff, South Wales. And because he finished his wall early, he had some time to make a "quick" wooden installation in Abacus Gallery across the street.

With nothing for sale, Phelgm’s newest exhibition “The Bestiary” is all about the experience of viewing art. And from these images there is plenty to soak in. The Sheffield-based artist spent the entire previous month working on the highly detailed installations. If you’re in London we highly suggest you go see it at The Howard Griffen Gallery before it comes down March 4, 2014.

“On the ground I had grand ideas of what to paint up there. After a 140ft climb without ropes up a rusty ladder, stood on an icy walkway in the wind I decided to paint this telescope instead” says Sheffield-based artist, Phlegm, on painting a very high water tower in Lexington, Kentucky.

While you would expect to see a mural from a European artist such as Phlegm in U.S. cities like New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and so on, when you see the name Lexington, Kentucky it comes as surprise. And that’s where the Sheffield-based artist most recently painted on an old Bourbon distillery (a suitable canvas based on the states reputation for whisky). Phlegm painted a collection of his signature characters stacked like Jenga and at the top two characters are toasting over a feast at a table. Painted for PRHBTN.

Participating in the Empty Walls Festival in Cardiff, Wales, Sheffield-based artist, Phlegm, has painted a second piece. This time around he has painted the image of some unknown creature with an extra lengthy tail. Accompanying its tail are two snakes and two birds. Phlegm thoughtfully made great use of this multi-textured, weathered façade. The piece before this was of a Welsh Dragon in monochrome that can be see here.

In his last few murals, Sheffield-based artist, Phlegm, has been expanding and experimenting with his imagery in new interesting directions. Participating in the Day One Festival in Antwerp, Belgium, Phlegm acquired a giant wall, where he painted two mirroring figures. Painted in his typical monochrome palette, each figure adorns cities on their legs and several planets on their head that resemble something similar to a solar system mobile.
