Phlegm in Lexington, Kentucky

Street Art // Thursday, November 21, 2013
While you would expect to see a mural from a European artist such as Phlegm in U.S. cities like New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and so on, when you see the name Lexington, Kentucky it comes as surprise. And that’s where the Sheffield-based artist most recently painted on an old Bourbon distillery (a suitable canvas based on the states reputation for whisky). Phlegm painted a collection of his signature characters stacked like Jenga and at the top two characters are toasting over a feast at a table. Painted for PRHBTN.

Participating in the Day One Festival in Antwerp, Belgium, Phlegm acquired a giant wall, where he painted two mirroring figures. Painted in his typical monochrome palette, each figure adorns cities on their legs and several planets on their head that resemble something similar to a solar system mobile.
