I dropped by the gallery earlier this week to do a little Q&A with Lafe and get a quick peek of the installation in progress, mainly because I admire his work and, well, I Just. Couldn't. Wait. Any. Recently opened at Park Life in San Francisco is See You Next Tuesday, a series of paintings by recent CCA graduate Courtney Johnson that are strangely grotesque and humorous merging human and animal forms yielding figures that are terrifyingly monstrous.

Former Juxtapoz feature Ian Johnson is teaming up with Sadie Barnette for a two-person exhibit, Last Time It Was Gray, at San Francisco's Park Life, opening July 8. The show will features figurative elements that they inextricably link to their own versions of what could be referred to as a New Abstraction.
