Vhils "Entropy" @ Magda Danysz, Paris

Lisbon-based, London-residing artist, Vhils, newest solo exhibition entitled “Entropy” opened last weekend at Magda Danysz Gallery in Paris. Expanding his practice, his new body of work explores portraits in a variety of techniques such as carved Styrofoam and wood, acid etched metal, laser cut posters, and ink and bleach on paper.

New Shepard Fairey x Obey Mural in Paris

Juxtapoz collaborator Butterfly was recently involved in organizing Shepard Fairey and the Obey team's new mural on a 14-story building in Paris, working with Galerie Itinerrance, Mairie of 13th district, and the local community on a project called Street Art 13, where they are taking world renowned artists to help regenerate the neighborhood.

Brigitte Zieger’s created this fantastic outdoor installation for the Les Environnementales Biennial of Contemporary Art at Tecomah, an environmental studies school outside of Paris. She created The Shadow, the impression of an aeroplane flying overhead... only in her work, the shadow is permanent.

Barry X Ball, who has been working in reinterpreting classic sculpture for over 30 years, just had aninstallation at Nathalie Obadia in Paris, called Matthew Barney / Barry X Ball Dual-Dual Portrait. The room featured a "a Janus-like double portrait of Barry X Ball and fellow artist Matthew Barney," carved in stone, staring at each other in a gold and black color scheme.

We haven’t heard much from Paris-based artist, Philippe Baudelocque, until a local photographer happened by the artist in action. The artist was seen creating two seahorses outside of a retail shop where the interior was decorated with the artist’s renderings of deer.  The complex designs and patterns of Baudelocque’s work are a standout in the streets of Paris.

Tonight in Paris, famed stencil artist C215 will be opening an exhibition of works that are stained glass windows at Saint Louis chapel, in La Salpétrière public hospital, Paris. Considering C215's stencil works already appear to be mosaics when created on the street, to see him transform into stained glass works seems like a natural progression for the French artist.
