In this experimental stop-motion short film from 1992, filmmaker Paolo Giogi revives the ghost of Marilyn Monroe, recreating her movement in fits and starts from famous photos of her final photoshoot with Bert Stern. Taken six weeks before her death, the darkness of each frame almost seems to presage her fate, yet her beauty and natural effervescence still shines through, a bittersweet reminder of her remarkable and tragic existence.
