Lucas Samaras' Doorway is a cube with two open sides and a solid cube protruding from the floor at its center. The facing reflective surface initiates a chain of reflections, where the unmarked space of the cube becomes a site for viewers to experience their own visage ad infinitum. The seemingly interminable self-reflections resonate with the overwhelming body of small images that line the gallery.

Pace Gallery in New York opened a new exhibition of work by Lucas Samaras featuring 700 photographs and a mirrored room installation over the weekend. Samaras continues his exploration of manipulated images and identity with 700 digitally altered images that will sit on a shelf lining the longest lengths of the gallery.

Pace Gallery Hong Kong is proud to present stars, Yoshitomo Nara’s second exhibition at Pace following his 2013 show in New York. The exhibition features recent works by Nara that combine his adolescent figures with star imagery and his work with burlap. Coinciding with Art Basel Hong Kong, the exhibition will be on view from March 13 to April 25, 2015.

After seeing Hockney's masterful show at the de Young Museum in San Francisco at the end of 2013, the Juxtapoz office has been obsessed with the work ethic of Hockney. The man just knows his way around a paint brush, an iPad, a camera, etc. We know that, you know that. Now he has a new show at Pace Gallery in NYC, "Some New Painting (and Photography)," which is Hockney’s first exhibition of works completed since his return to Los Angeles from England.

On Friday night, we stopped by the opening of famed Japanese artist and Juxtapoz cover artist, Yoshitomo Nara's newest body of work at Pace Gallery. Featuring his iconic girl characters, presented in sculpture, painting, and sketches, all spaced wonderfully in three large rooms, Nara continues to be one of the most appreciated contemporary artist in the world.

Robert Irwin, the highly influential California artist and pioneer of the west coast light and space movement of the 1960s, will be exhibiting at both of Pace's gallery spaces in New York until the 20th of this month. His work is always a treat as it reinvents and reveals the spaces we inhabit and the often unnoticed qualities of architecture and light.
