Taipei is one long jet-lagged flight away from where we rest our head, but if you are on the island of Taiwan this Saturday night there is a good art show to check out.  Graffiti writers, Optimist and Stuey, will be showing new work at the AMPM Gallery in a show entitled Time Flies in Taipei. Optimist sent over a video and some exclusive preview shots of work that will be on display.  Go!

The Truck Show @ 1 A.M. Gallery

San Francisco graffiti writers, Optimist and Plantrees, have put together a special exhibition paying homage to graffiti on trucks working with over 70 artists in and around the bay area.  Various model trucks, screen printed trucks, and actual roll downs from trucks will be on display at the show.   All proceeds from the show are being graciously donated to the Eastside Arts Alliance & Culture Center.  The opening is this Friday, February 10th at 1 A.M. Gallery in San Francisco.

Optimist: Man, Animals, & The Machines

Man, Animal, and The Machines, featuring new work by graffiti writer Optimist, opens this Saturday, October 8 at Old Crow Tattoo in Oakland.   As the artist states, “I’m working on 8 - 10 compositions on brown butcher paper about man, animals, and machines all fighting for existence on planet earth, and some smaller less complicated drawings on the same subject.”
