Omar Ortiz is a fantastic painter from Mexico who does these stunningly real (well, if you get nude women around you like this all the time, this is real for you) oil on canvas pieces. He will be a part of our upcoming "Hyperreal" book, but in the meantime, here is an update of some of his works for you to see today...

"Since I started painting I have always tried to represent things as real as I can. Sometimes I succeed and some others I don´t but it´s a fact that it is very difficult for me to do otherwise. I enjoy the challenge of reproducing skin tones and its nuances under natural light, particularly in bright conditions. I like simplicity in my pieces since I believe that excesses make us more poor rather than rich." Omar Ortiz

Omar Ortiz' hyperreal paintings are not new to the site, and we plan on continuing our coverage of the work in the coming months because he has a prolific body of work going that is stunningly realistic. We know we cover hyperrealism on the site often, but coming across Ortiz' new work, Focus II, we had to doubletake at how insanely real these hands and depth of field are captured in this painting... see the details...

Omar Ortiz creates huge, hyperrealistic portraits of nude women that will have your emotions battling for between awe and arousal. Born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, Ortiz has a BA in graphic design and a good command of other techniques including pastels, charcoal, acrylic and airbrush. His incredible eye for detail is evident in these raw, intimate portraits celebrating the human form.

These aren't quite NSFW, because they are too worth it to check out. Omar Ortiz creates amazingly photorealistic paintings of nude female subjects on large format canvas. The Mexico-born artist captures the minute details of the naked body, with focus on natural light, hair, muscles, and amazingly painted hands and feet.
