Newark, Ohio-based artist Angela Christine Smith has created the series "Dissections," a series that mixes science, illustration, and photography into one image. Smith sheds her subject's skin, provides a bit of internal context, and at the same time, shows off some fine illustrative chops.

J.R Tubbs is traditional tattoo artist working out of FX Tattoo in Ashtabula in Ohio. He says of his traditional style, "There is just something about a nice clean old school (real old school) tattoo. I have always been the kind of guy that would rather hang out with the old timers, they always had the better stories and life lessons. A nice old time tattoo is pretty much the same thing, it’s one of those things that can’t be called a fad because it never left and came back, it just has always been."

Somewhere in Cleveland, Ohio underneath an overpass the graffiti writer, Rankos, aka Read More Books, had a field day painting numerous different styled pieces. That would be 10 to be exact. Too bad some base head found a red can laying around and made a pathetic attempt at dissing some of them.

Aaron Winnenberg is an Ohio born artist who currently lives in Seattle. His paintings and drawings are constantly challenging the forces of apathy versus chaos. The characters represented are always confronted by sticky situations, yet they remain still and calm, finding their way through without a fuss.
