Get Trippy in Oakland

Graffiti // Thursday, May 30, 2013
Oakland has notably been a strong magnet of sorts for graffiti writers around the country to come claim residency and attempt to make a name for themselves. Writers have recently been dedicating pieces to the city, even if it is not their native turf. Jeans and Kure certainly have done one of the better homage’s to the city of Oakland with this new mural.

Graffiti // Friday, April 05, 2013
We posted this Jenks before the additional additions from Peace, Kruks, and Groner. This building got hooked up most definitely.

Juxtapoz // Monday, March 25, 2013
We have shown you the work of Scott Greenwalt on the site before, but seeing that he is in our new book title, Juxtapoz New Contemporary, we wanted to reshine a light on the Oakland, Ca-based artist. "My paintings are really about capturing a moment," he says, "or a composite of several moments, wherein the subject undergoes a massive physical change."

SPECIAL DELIVERY Bay Area 2012

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, September 12, 2012
Thousands turned out this past weekend to catch the Endless Canvas graffiti warehouse opening, Special Delivery Bay Area 2012, in Berkeley, California. The show was a follow up to last year's show of the same name in Portland, Oregon, and despite minimal coverage by any local press outlets (minus the morning news sighting graffiti "tags" spread around the neighborhood, something the building owner already said they would pay to clean up), the show turned out to be one of the most exciting art events in the East Bay in recent years.
