Erotica // Sunday, March 15, 2015
These illustrations come from French artist Marion Fayolle's wordless book entitled "In Pieces." The book is a series of comic-style narratives about human relationships. These works are meant to make us think...

Rob Zeller "A Space Within" @ Dacia Gallery, NYC

Erotica // Friday, March 13, 2015
Dacia Gallery proudly present’s “A Space Within,” Rob Zeller’s new series of figurative paintings that capture the contemplative perhaps spiritual mind states of his subjects. Rob has overlaid portions of the figures and landscapes with the swirling mandalas. Zeller reflects, “The women in these paintings are not made to entice you, they are having their own experience with their surroundings, while experiencing themselves and the universe beyond. We share these moments with them through their outside appearance.” The show runs through March 20, 2015.

The Mysterious World of Jan Durina

Erotica // Thursday, February 26, 2015
We like the type of photography where elements seem to appear out of nothing, where characters seem to be practicing witchcraft in some black forest in another dimension. And this is where we are at with Jan Durina. We posted about the work back in 2011, and we feel like this is fairytales on acid.

Reflect Upon This: Nudes in Mirrors by Alva Bernadine

Erotica // Monday, February 23, 2015
These female nudes are of friends, acquaintances and volunteers from the internet. I often trawl charity shops and stores that sell cheap kitsch because I sometimes come across objects and trinkets that may lead to ideas for photos. I came across some small mirrors in a £1 shop. They were selling them for £1 for two. I bought six not knowing what I would do with them...

The Photography of Lars Botten

Erotica // Friday, February 13, 2015
We have seen many photos of Lars Botten over the years, but never could put a name to the images. The Norwegian-born Botten works both in fashion and editorial projects, mixing tasteful nudes with almost nostalgic Hollywood style portraits.

PIXXXEL by Jean-Yves Lemoigne

Erotica // Thursday, February 12, 2015
Yatzer, one of the best art and design sites in the world in our opinion, is doing what a lot of people should be doing; getting ready for Valentine's Day and "Fifty Shades of Grey" cinematic release. They celebrated by putting together a compilation of erotic posts, and one was of "PiXXXel" by French photographer Jean-Yves Lemoigne that we remember seeing back in 2009 but thought it was clever. Internet, porn, art direction... a good formula.

New Book: Psychedelic Sex

Erotica // Thursday, February 12, 2015
In a brief golden span between 1967 and 1972, the sexual revolution collided with recreational drug exploration to create "psychedelic sex." While the baby boomers blew their minds and danced naked in the streets, men’s magazine publishers attempted to visually recreate the wonders of LSD, project them on a canvas of nubile hippie flesh, and dish it up to men dying for a taste of free love.

The Nudes of Jean Clemmer

Juxtapoz // Wednesday, February 11, 2015
One of the world's most renowned erotic fashion photographers, Swiss-born Jean Clemmer's iconic photographs of 1960's Paris explore the utopian fantasies and sexual freedom of the era, focusing on the eroticism of French couturier Paco Rabanne's semi-nude models, dressed in his "unwearable" fashions of futuristic plastic and aluminum chain-mail jewelry.
