Ryan Travis Christian, who we featured in the January 2013 issue, just opened a brand new exhibition, Well, Here We Aren't Again, at CAM Raleigh in North Carolina. In his twisted, humorous, surreal early Disney inspired works, Christian has really captured a lot of attention in recent years for both his works and talent as a curator. The work is on display through June 17, 2013.

An incredible installation by Jonathan Brilliant, and what a name to boot. The North Carolina based artist has created an incredible woven installation piece in the atrium of a building in Sumter, South Carolina, features over 60,000 coffee stirrers. The piece took over 14 days to construct.

As we wrote earlier on our site, and still rings true as we look at new works from Ethan Murrow: "The characters in Ethan Murrow's amazingly rendered narratives are consistently averse to criticism and assistance. These figures, mostly male, are doomed to failure and prone to dysfunction.

Metalmorphosis is a moving, mirrored fountain and 14-ton sculpture in Charlotte, North Carolina by Czech artist David ?erný. The steel layers of the sculpture rotate and at time, align to create a coherent and massive head. And it has a webcam aimed at it. James "Dalek" Marshall (cover of our April 2008 issue) just painted a new mural at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA) in Winston Salem, North Carolina for the new exhibition North Carolina New Contemporary. Marshall also created a timelapse of the piece as well, that you can see after the jump . . .
