This past weekend, Balboa Park's Activity Center hosted Art San Diego, San Diego's annual art fair. San Diego is not a bad place to be in the beginning of September, not only did the region offer pleasant weather (which at times got a bit hot inside the Activity Center), but also some great showings by some of the area's finest art exhibitors like Quint Contemporary Art and Double Break, among a few others.

Noah Doely's ambrotype and tintype photographs are full fiction and illusion. Harkening back to a time at the emergence of photography, Doely presents characters that are in a pursuit of knowledge, making, and understanding, a search that belongs just as much to the artist as it does to these fictional personalities. His exhibition, The Expanse of the Fact, opens tonight, June 1, at Steve Turner Contemporary in Los Angeles.
