The Art of Sleep Paralysis

Photography // Thursday, April 24, 2014
At the age of fifteen, Nicolas Bruno began experiencing sleep paralysis where he would awake from frightening nightmares completely paralyzed and often hallucinate terrifying figures with obscured faces. Bruno decided to turn his passion for photography into a sort of therapy to help him cope with the sleep paralysis. When he would awake from his nightmares, he would write them down and later use them for photographic compositions.
