Game Review: Forza Motorsport 4

Juxtapoz // Thursday, October 20, 2011
Racing games have a reputation of being all show and no go; the visuals often lead the industry in quality, but the gameplay is little more then recycled simulators that we have been racing for years. With the nitch exceptions being Gran Turismo (Simulator), Need for Speed (Arcade), and Burnout (Crash n' Burn), Forza Motorsport 4 has joined the ranks, with potential to combine these niches into one hell of a game.

Comic Con 2011: Adult Swim

Juxtapoz // Saturday, July 23, 2011
Adult Swim is well known for some of the funniest and most creative TV shows on television today. With a portfolio which consists of established hits like The Venture Bros, and Robot Chicken as well as new successes like Childrens Hospital, and NTSF:SD:SUV (National Terrorism Strike Force: San Diego:Sport Utility Vehicle) it shouldn't be a surprise that this series of panels was by far the most hilarious experience I have ever had.

Comic Con 2011: DC Comics Reboot

Juxtapoz // Friday, July 22, 2011
DC comics is committing an act that many would consider brand suicide. They are starting their entire comic universe from issue 1 all over. After 70 years of creating some of the most iconic superheros in the world, Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash etc . . . they are rebooting the entire line of comics.

E3 2011 Coverage: Surrounding the Games

Juxtapoz // Saturday, June 11, 2011
E3 is a showcase of the most dedicated and creative video game developers and publishers. But there is so much more to experience at the show then just video games. Companies spend thousands of dollars on elaborate displays, one of a kind larger then life statues of charactors, incredibly detailed collectibles, one of a kind artwork, people dressed up as their favorite characters . . .

E3 Coverage: Sony Press Conference

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, June 07, 2011
Sony started off their E3 press conference this year with a needed but a well-recieved apology to the gamers they have built their empire on. In my opinion this was a great way to clear the elephant in the room, and kick off a truly packed series of announcements including Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, NBA 2K12, and an array of titles and accesories for the gaming masses.

E3 2011 Coverage: Microsoft XBOX 360 Press Conference

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, June 07, 2011
E3 2011 is upon us and kicked off with a BANG. Microsoft's press conference took my breath away, along with everyone else I think, with what they have promised from Kinect almost two years ago came true today. Check out all the coverage and sneak peek videos after the jump.

"Portal 2" Review: The Cake is a Lie, But NOT THIS TIME!

Juxtapoz // Thursday, April 21, 2011
When waiting/expecting a sequel, time and time again I have been disappointed. From lack of heart, to degraded graphics, sequels have been plagued with more bugs and falsehoods then I could shake a stick at. But, the time of redemption is upon us, with not only one of the greatest sequel release I have ever experienced, but one of the most polished and well thought out games I have ever played. Portal 2 came out not more then 24 hours ago, and I have spent at least 1/4 of those 24 hours (6 hours) playing it . . .

8-Bit Video Game Video Art

Juxtapoz // Thursday, March 10, 2011
My nostalgia for old video games stems from the "simpler" times of video games, when controllers had 4 buttons and a d-pad, graphics were all 8-bit, and you had to blow into games to get them to function correctly.  Ahhh the wonder years.... well some other people share my old timey views, and one of those people (Ninjamoped) went out of their way to make some awesome 8-bit styled art. Watch the video after the jump . . .
