After living and going to school in Chicago for a few years, Luke Pelletier went back to his rural-tourist-driven-hometown, Brevard, North Carolina, for a few months to make the work for his first solo in over three years. Living in a tourist town for much of his life, he has been heavily influenced by seasonal economies, as well as the multi-level relationships, dependence and resentment, between tourists and locals.

This Saturday, September 27th, 2014 New Image Art in West Hollywood, CA will be presenting a "Chaos Pays," the first North American solo exhibition of Horfee. Yes, that picture is amazing right there of Xara Thustra and Jeffrey Deitch, doing a hangout session outside of Thustra's THX exhibition at New Image Art Gallery in LA last Saturday night. Maybe it wasn't just a show. It was more of an event, with live music, projections, and a little slice of some San Francisco thrown in the mix. Through a mix of graffiti, Mission School aesthetics, activism, and plain old art invasion of a gallery, we recommend checking out THX.
