San Francisco's New Bohemia Signs has been creating elegant and simple hand-painted signage since 1993. New Bohemia offers a full range of services including full scale menus, architectural gilding, and gold leafing, all created by hand in their very tiny shop. I visit them often as a source of inspiration, most recently, the work being produced for a group show entitled Genuine Authentic at Peek Gallery on February 10th.

I stopped by Alexis's studio while she was preparing for a 2 person show opening this Saturday at Swarm Gallery in Oakland. Her most recent work is refreshingly different from previous collages. Here is what I saw.
