Glowing Homeless by Fanny Allié

As part of the 2011 "Bring to Light" festival, Fanny Allie created the Glowing Homeless sculpture, and placed it on a bench in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. As Allie says of her work, "Many of my projects suggest the course of time as they examine memories, past actions or incidents, and events that happened at a specific and recorded time."

The first thing we need to note is that this installation and video of blenders, pounds of glowsticks, 700 glasses, and 200 meters of hoses was used to create an installation for Colombian company Bon Yurt to promote its "neon" line of yogurts. Does neon make you want to eat yogurt? This video may help.
