A group of painters descended upon Manila, Philippines this week for the first annual Bonifacio Global City art festival (artBGC) produced by LA’s LeBasse Projects. For me, it’s a privilege to be painting alongside seven unstoppable international artists who are battling big walls this week...  

Nate Frizzell's Characters at Play

Nate Frizzell is a graduate of LA's Otis College of Art and Design. Using bold, colorful images of girls and children at play and in turmoil, Frizzell creates intimate stories that mask his own feelings of immaturity. Using both highly rendered images and softer graphic design elements, Frizzell weaves stories into his paintings that we can all see ourselves being a part of.

We stopped by LeBasse Projects in Culver City to check out their current group exhibition which showcases artwork form some of their artists that will be exhibiting this year, including works from Herakut, Mike Stilkey, Joshua Petker, Seonna Hong, Jim Houser, Tobias Keene, Katrin Fridriks, Nate Frizzell, Yoskay Yamamoto, Andrew Hem, Matt Haber and Melissa Haslam.  Photos after the jump..

New Works by Nate Frizzell at LeBasse Projects

Prolific artist Nate Frizzell just opened a new solo show, To Be Myself, at LeBasee Projects in Los Angeles' Chinatown. The exhibition features a series of works in charcoal on paper – the first time the artist has shown work in this form.
