We have always been huge fans of photographer Neil Krug's photography and filmmaking, which we have always thought of as a neo-psychedelic sexual revolution, apocalyptic, Fear and Loathing in the Desert, lost roll of film and now developed 40 years kind of an experience. Maybe that is what it is.

You know we love a good LEGO art project, and we are really enjoying Aaron Savage's collection of famous album covers reimagined in LEGOS. We never thought Bowie, Pink Floyd, Saturday Night Fever or the Smiths would looks so good in LEGOS. Can you guess most of the covers? Plenty after the jump . . .

French artist and social activist JR opened a new exhibition, Encrages, at Galerie Perrotin in Paris this past November, and the gallery just released a video featuring British mainstays Massive Attack playing surrounded my massive (hey-o) projections of JR's work. A well done video by Guillaume Cagniard. The show officially ends on January 7, 2012.

When we look back on some of the better albums we have listened to in the Jux offices this year, Lykke Li's Wounded Rhymes and Shabazz Palaces' Black Up were tops on our list. We just learned that artist and creative director Leif Podhajsky designed artwork for both artists this year, as well as a group of great underground musicians and projects.

You have to love a band like Fleet Foxes, who release a critically acclaimed debut only to be just as solid on their sophomore effort. FF frontman Robin Pecknold's brother, Sean, just created this fantastic animation video for the epic track "The Shine/An Argument" off Fleet Foxes 2011 LP, Helplessness Blues. Great work. Stacey Rozich, whom we have profiled in the magazine before, did the character illustrations.

Depending on who you ask, chewing mushrooms and holing up in your room isn’t exactly an A+ idea. But among all of the posters that could possibly melt off your wall, William Keihn’s psychedelic foray into low-culture is the kind of simulacra you want in your peripheral. Tyler Curtis interviews...

Youth Lagoon is a new band that has won over many of our friends recently. 22-year-old Trevor Powers has been gaining attention for his pleasing indie rock melodies, and this video directed by Tyler T. Williams is quite fantastic. All together, this is not a bad four minutes and forty seconds to spend staring at your screen and listening to your speakers.

Tomorrow night, September 9, C.A.V.E. Gallery of Venice, California, in association with Thinkspace Gallery, present Dig For Fire: Art Inspired by the Pixies, a group show curated by Kevin Titzer. Most people we know will vouch that the Pixies are worthy of a dedicated art show.
