Warner Bros Records will be hosting an art show in their iconic Burbank building, Vinyl Revisionists, where artists interpret their favorite WB record cover from the past 50 years. Mike Lemanski (b. 1986) hails from Huddersfield, UK and graduated from the Highlands School or Art and the Bradford School of Arts. Since then, he has been a successful freelance illustrator creating posters, album covers, book and periodical covers and a gorgeous and playfully intricate series of sheet music illustrations. Jamie Reid, who helped create the visual identity of the infamous Sex Pistols, will be opening an exhibition, Ragged Kingdom, at Los Angeles' Subliminal Projects tonight March 16. For the opening, Shepard Fairey (who opened Subliminal) and Reid will release 4 Large Format Screen Print Editions and a series of unique, hand-collaged, Fine Art Editions (HPMs).

Stanley Donwood, who has ceated the visual identity for superband Radiohead for nearly 20 years, will be opening a new series of works at Subliminal Projects on April 28, 2012, with the exhibition Lost Angeles. Continuing on Donwood's theme set with his London Views series, Lost Angeles will be highlighted by a 18-foot apocalyptic panorama of the City of Angels being destroyed by fire, flood and meteor storm.

In conjunction with the upcoming release of MARLEY, Kevin Macdonald's feature documentary on the life of Bob Marley, July 2006 cover artist Phil Frost participates in this video where he talks about the influence of Marley on his art and career. Normally staying away from the limelight, this is interesting just hear Frost talk about his inspirations and influences. A great watch.

Juxtapoz contributing illustrator and political cartoonist, Munk One, made a special edition print for Blink 182's 20th anniversary print series, in which the band is releasing a new print each month to celebrate the year. Well, Munk's print sold-out in about one minute. But, we do have a nice video that Munk made to honor this print, which you can watch after the jump . . .

When SF-based visual artist Jason Jagel spent the night on the oversized chair at the Stones Throw house back in 2002 the same night Madlib crashed on the couch directly across from him, Jagel knew right away he had stumbled across a unique individual. “I remember Madlib mumbling in his sleep, sounding uncannily, but not surprisingly like his music,” remarks Jagel.
