“Los buenos, los malos, y los peores” which in English translates to “The good, the bad, and the worst” is the title of Spanish street artist, Laguna’s newest wall. The artist painted a highly surreal and dreamlike portrait.

Sheffield-based illustrator and muralist, Phlegm’s most recent project is an indoor mural at Canal Mills, which serves as a multi-arts venue in Leeds, England. The permanent piece is a living visual narrative that incorporates the historic elements of the Canal Mills. The artist’s signature characters are once again seen working on some sort of elaborate not-of-this-world machinery that is made up of a number of planets. 

Wait, is that an Apple Ad? The 25-by-75-foot billboard located in a parking lot next to the High Line Park in New York has hosted an all-star list of artists including Joel Sternfeld, John Baldessari, David Shrigley, Elad Lassry, Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari of Toilet Paper, and others since its inception in December 2011. Now photographer, Ryan Mcginley, joins this list as the most recent artist to have their work shown on the massive canvas. 

Using only white buff paint, Spanish artist, David De La Mano, painted silhouetted figures over a layered wall of graffiti to create a very textural piece. This wall is entitled “recolectores” which in English translated to “collectors.”

The 29-year old Russian street artist, Pasha 183, passed away Monday in Moscow. Widely known by many residents of Russia, his work was large in scale and often-contained strong political undertones. However, he once described himself as an “Anarchist,” not a political artist and held a strong distaste for advertising. In an interview posted on adme.ruhe said, “I wanted that work to carry the most important message ... that a person mustn’t sell himself.” “I made a chocolate bar that can’t be bought, using a giant panel of concrete.”

Having recently taken an abandoned theme park in the desert of California and making it in to a gallery of their work, TrustCorp, is now moving indoors for an exhibition entitled “The Future Is Blight” that opens April 13 at LeBasee Projects in Los Angeles. Speaking on this exhibition, “Underneath the glossy veneer of tabloid magazines and Hollywood movies, the former middle class is struggling, families are facing poverty and America is slowly becoming a third world country. In the absence of any real help or solid solutions, there is hypocrisy, greed and hopelessness. Through our work, we hope to call attention to this reality, crack a few smiles and hopefully make some people think along the way."

Certainly not “Street Art,” but clearly in the public view considering it is on view for all those going and coming from somewhere at the Philadelphia International Airport. Local artist, Isaac T. Lin, has installed a series of peace-sign-slanging-felines, accompanied with framed art and his pattern-filled abstractions set as a background. The project entitled “Another Dimension” is currently on display in Terminal E and 3D glasses supposedly add even more visual enhancement to this particular installation.

With a hefty price tag of  $7,500 and limited to just 10, this fiberglass bust collaboration between artist, Ron English and Guns & Roses guitarist, Slash is not as easily attainable as lets say a happy meal toy? English worked with Slash to create his recent album cover art for “SLASH & Friends” and with this bust the artist interpreted SLASH’s iconic skull with a top hat. The pieces were made in collaboration with Hong Kong’s prestigious sculpture house, Garage Works, and if you have a large wad of money burning a hole in your pocket then go for it! 

Here are two more new walls from Spanish artist, David De La Mano, that are difficult to interpret but visually intriguing.

Participating in a month long residence hosted by /A Word Of Art, AEC of Interesni Kazki has utilized his time in South Africa by painting some large walls and canvases. Here we have two vibrantly colored, visually striking walls. One painted in Johannesburg and the other in Cape Town.  Also included in this photo set is a new painting by the artist. Diamonds appear to be a reoccurring theme in all three of these pieces.
