"Powder of Light" @ Jonathan Levine

Chinese street artist, Dal, opens his new solo exhibition “Powder of Light” at Jonathan Levine Gallery in New York tonight. The show will consist of the artist’s ribbon-style animals, applied in a range of mediums on tea-stained canvases. The reception begins at 7pm, with the show running through December 29, 2012.

Faile's "Wolf Within" in Mongolia

Last month was busy, so busy we forgot to mention that Brooklyn-based collective, Faile, installed a sculpture entitled “Wolf Within” at the National Garden Park in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The piece depicts a man on his knees cloaked in a wolf pelt tearing away at his two-piece suit.

“I will only paint native species in a country, unless it were relevant to the location, like an abandoned zoo or something” Roa has painted native species large and small around the glob and is the subject of MOCAtv’s newest segment entitled “Dominant Species.” Roa’s thoughts on the world around him, humans relationship with animals, and art, are narrated by a traditional documentary voice.

A stylish clothed purple horse is seen riding a bike, with a top hat and pipe floating close. The artist chose wonderful colors for this particular large wall. James Jean's Mural @ Lane Crawford, Hong Kong

We wrote on the site back in October about James Jean launching his OVM line of jewellery at Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, and he just posted on his site about the mural he painted in conjunction with the launch. The 80" piece was created with Velum. Graphite, Ink, and Digital, and of course, is pretty damn epic in the James Jean style.

New Dal Mural in Cape Town, South Africa

Dal made great use of space when painting a mural on this building in Cape Town, South Africa. His unique ribbon-styled animals are sprinkled around the building trying to get to the top where a crowned lion is luring them.
