"Show Me Your Boobs" by Oclock

The graffiti writer that goes by the name, Oclock, whose name has been associated with the Paris streets for a long time, switched his approach up entirely with this new billboard. “Show Me You Boobs” spelled out with a pair of eyes set to a spiraling background can be seen painted by the Parisian artist.

Remed paints in Khayelitsha, South Africa

Remed is a multifaceted artist from Madrid, whose work we have highlighted several times here and has been featured in a lengthy interview in print (August 2012 printed issue).  He is currently participating in a month long residency created by the people at /A Word Of Art, where in his free time he has found some shacks to add his work to. This piece was painted in the informal township of Khayelitsha, located in Western Cape Town, South Africa.

Thomas Campbell Mural @ Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History

Thomas Campbell, always hard at work on a variety of projects, has currently embedded himself in Santa Cruz near his studio to complete a mural at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History. Thomas began his work in December of 2012 and will complete the project in late February of 2013, at which point the work will remain on display at the Museum through March 17, 2013.

Roids x Madsteez in Hawaii

Approved by a rainbow! Over the last week, a number of walls in Hawaii have been rejuvenated with new layers of paint from artists around the globe participating in the Pow Wow event. A colorful collaboration wall between California-based artist, Madsteez, and London-based graffiti artist, Roids, turned out nicely and this photo opportunity with a rainbow in the background makes for a great final touch.

In part of the Pow Wow event in Hawaii, New Zealand-based artist, Askew, painted this large portrait of Tame Ito; a controversial character known for his activism in support of the ingenious people of New Zealand. He has also had a handful of legal issues with the law, including doing some significant time due to weapon charges.

How Nosm: Giant Mural in San Francisco's Tenderloin

We have been lucky over the past few years to catch NYC-based How Nosm painting murals around the world, most recently in Norway for Nuart this past Fall. The duo was just in our hometown this past week, San Francisco, to paint a fantastic multi-portioned mural in the Tenderloin district of the city. The wall was made possible in conjunction with Rogue Projects and White Walls, with paint by Montana.

POW WOW Hawai'i wrapped up with a block party at Lana Lane studios and live painting by featured artists, who ritualistically bombed a white wall for a huge audience of visitors, locals, and flashing cameras. After a week of painting enormous murals non-stop, the crew was in full party mode.

Issac Lin for the "The Alley Cat Project"

In part of a public art project entitled “The Alley Cat Project”, Philadelphia-based artist, Issac Lin, created the following pieces that were installed in East Austin, TX alley. Organized by MASS Gallery, 12 site-specific artworks will be created and placed in various alleys over the next year in Austin’s older neighborhoods.
